After earning her B.A. in Journalism at UW-Madison in 1984, Bonnie Paffenroth, a seasoned real estate agent in Alma, Colorado, made the pivotal decision to move west and hasn’t looked back since. Her journey began in Breckenridge, Colorado, where she seamlessly integrated into mountain ski town living. In 2003, after successfully selling her landscaping business of 13 years, Bonnie embarked on a new career path in real estate.

Following a decade-long stay in Summit County, she discovered Park County just 17 miles south, where she connected with the small mining town of Alma. For more than 25 years now, Alma has been her cherished home. Her profound knowledge of business has empowered her to focus on the diverse real estate opportunities available in Park County.

Bonnie’s passion for the outdoors knows no bounds. Bonnie finds solace in nature, whether hiking the 14-teeners or mountain biking on the single tracks. However, skiing, be it alpine, telemark, backcountry, or Nordic, holds a cherished place in her heart. You might even spot her on the local trails with her loyal companions, Hazel and Ziggy.

Favorite Colorado outdoor activity: I enjoy cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, hiking, and mountain biking on trails that are usually peaceful and uncrowded.

Favorite local hidden gem: I can’t say because I like the peaceful and uncrowded trails!
