Tips For Your Visit To Park County, Colorado

Get ready to make a day (or a week, or a life) out of your visit to our beautiful county. Prepare the right way before hopping in the car.

  • Account for elevation. Alma and the surrounding area is nearly twice the altitude of Denver. Consider getting here a day early to adjust to the new heights, especially if you have an action-packed trip ahead of you.
  • Cell service may be spotty. We’re in nature, after all. Download or take screenshots of directions and important information just in case you have trouble connecting.
  • Be prepared for winter weather. If you don’t have a shovel and winter preparedness kit in your car, now’s the time to pack one.
